VILLA REGINA - villa storica
Situated in the village of Santa Maria Annunziata, on the furthermost point of the peninsula, which descends towards San Liberatore and the Tower of Toledo, this luxurious villa is set in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Massa Lubrense: from every window and balcony, from every terrace and from the solarium, one’s eyes fall upon Capri, Ischia, Marina della Lobra and Vesuvius, which, it seems, one can touch with an outstretched hand.

DESCRIZIONE
Villa Regina, is a fabulous villa overlooking Capri built in the 17th century in the small village of Annunziata, one of the most panoramic districts of Massa Lubrense. After careful restoration by the owner, who has valued and preserved its history, it is today, the perfect fusion between past and present.
As one crosses the magnificent entrance, one feels the tranquility of the place, where elegance and class unite with a past rich in history: signs of the past are evident in the villa structure, in the furnishings and in the gardens where one can wander amongst centuries-old tree’s and enjoy moments of utter serenity, harmony and splendour.
From past to present, beauty and elegance are constant in all environs of Villa Regina. From the limestone entrance, one enters through the simple and sobre 16th century doorway into a paved stone hall, the room enriched with vases, objets d’arts and antique moulds tastefully chosen to maintain the living memory of this place. Set on two levels, a ground floor and first floor, connected by a magnificent staircase built of sandstone slabs from the Massa area and decorated with 18th century mosaics, the villa consists of 5 bedrooms, 4 large bathrooms, splendid living and dining areas, panoramic terraces and solarium.
All the bedrooms have a wonderful sea views , frescoed ceilings and antique furniture.
To the left one reaches the first hall, adapted for small receptions, for reunions or classy events; it can also be used as an area to sit back and enjoy some peace and quiet.
On entering, one’s glance is immediately captured by Capri, which through the window seems to be a something of a living painting, with its resplendent sea a-sparkle around it . Solemn and enchanting, the first floor of Villa Regina, is the heart of this historical building of the area. On this floor one finds the most glorious and spacious terraces of the villa, with a breath-taking view over the entire Gulf of Naples and the Island of Capri.
With its panoramic view, its beauty and elegance Villa Regina is one of the most beautiful and charming places along the sorrentine coast.

COMPOSIZIONE
Ground floor: 1 triple on the ground floor with en-suite bathroom (there is space for an additional single bed); 1 spacious bathroom.
A large living room, suitable for small receptions, élite meetings, special events or simple relaxation. Loggia with access from the living room.

First floor: 1 (large) double bedroom, 1 bedroom with French-bed, and 2 twin bedrooms, 2 spacious bathrooms, living rooms with frescoed ceilings and antique furniture, a kitchen with adjoining terrace equipped with tables and chairs.
The kitchen is equipped with all modern comforts and a lovely old wood-burning stove. There is a terrace on two levels and the sun
terrace can be reached from the first floor and has sun-beds, towels and showers.
Notes: The caretaker and housekeeper live in the right wing on the ground floor in an independent unit.
They are at guest’s disposal for all the eventualities.
The gardens surrounding the villa are of an extraordinary beauty.
One, an open-air lounge, equipped with tables, wrought iron chairs and hammocks, is the ideal place to relax and reinvigorate oneself, or walk amongst the typical, ancient botanical species of the Mediterranean. Each species is labelled with all relevant details.

Servizi: dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, fridge, telephone, fax, internet connection, wifi, automatic central heating, parking, daily change of towels, linen, outdoor barbecue, swimming pool (3x9 m), daily cleaning (indoor and outdoor/6 hours per day).
A rich buffet breakfast is served in the main room of the villa and on the terrace in summer (cakes, fresh fruit, local cooked meats and cheese, and coffee), welcome room, welcome drink, luggages service, newspaper service.
A guardian and housekeeper who live in the villa are present 24 hours a day, always available to help guests.

Attrative/Visite: The staff of the villa can provide for transfer services via land and sea. For connections, Naples airport, visits
to Massa Lubrense, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia and a tour of the Campania region; on request. Car hire: those wishing to hire a
car in Massa Lubrense, will be directed to the appropriate agencies that have an agreement with the villa.

Barche in affitto: is available on request with expert sailors who will also act as guides, for excursions along the sorrentine
coast, between Mitigliano and Capri, around the Galli islands and along the Amalfi coast.
 
Trekking and snorkelling: For enthusiasts, the staff at the villa organize trips with expert guides to discover the many naturalistic routes in the area such as those that start from Nerano and lead to the beautiful bay of Jeranto , where diving is possible, accompanied by highly qualified personnel.
